HAMUN
2016
How could human flesh be ethically consumed?
Hamun is a speculative design project that imagines a future in which animal resources have been fully depleted, compelling society to embrace cannibalism. "Hamun" is the label given to humans bred for consumption. The project visualizes the hierarchical feeding caste system of hamuns and humans, exploring the nature and ethics of human consumption through a photo and video essay.
This project was created in collaboration with Gilbert Lim as our initial project for UCLA’s Counterforce Lab.
